I work as an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at the California State University, Sacramento. I enjoy teaching hands on subjects such as system development life cycle, mobile application development for business, human-computer interaction, and database management. Consistently, my principal research interests lie in designing and evaluating software for learning, collaboration, and community. More specifically, I am interested in design science research, persuasive design, business analytics, and big data management. To the extent possible, I love involving students to my research as co-investigators through academic grants. I think such involvement is a great opportunity for students to experience the real-world value of the hands-on subjects I teach in my classes. You can find more information about me on this website and LinkedIn. In my spare time, I enjoy endurance sports, community group involvement, reading, cooking, as well as learning how to play acoustic guitar.
